Department Information

The Industrial Engineering offered by Department of Industrial Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully meet challenges that they will face in today’s industries on a national and global level. The course provides engineers with detailed state-of-the-art knowledge of both traditional and advanced manufacturing technologies, systems integration techniques, economic analysis methods, and operations management practices and principles. Based upon this knowledge, students develop the ability to the design, implementation, and efficient operation of systems.

The Department of Industrial Engineering has a population of 25 PhD. faculty members. Our undergraduate programs include majors in Systems Analysis and Production. The graduate programs include Masters' programs in Industrial Engineering, Economic and Social Systems Engineering, Systems Management and Productivity, Financial Engineering, Management of Innovation and Technology, and Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering.  Ph.D. program offers majors in the field of Industrial Engineering.  

 

 

Department History

The Department of Industrial Engineering started in 1978 offering an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering. In a plan to expand its activities, the Department began offering graduate programs for the Master of Science (MSc) and Doctoral of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 1988 and 1993, respectively.

 Dr. M.T.Fatemi Ghomi was selected as one of the best faculty members of Iranian Universities research institutes and centers.
